Dreams

by Inthefastlane45 @ 29/03/2007 - 19.52:21

I've been having dreams latly where i've actually been seriously hurt, or killed(well just about to die but then I wake up). The first time I was in new york city(I live in pennsylvania), and it was set in the future because I was older. I got shot in that dream. Then in the second one, I was stabbed. And then in my recent one my body was kind of twisted oddly..and broke my back? or something similiar.

I never had these kinds of dreams before..kind of weird. They do make going to sleep more interesting though.

.................

Yesterday I seen a statistic on the news that said at the beginning of the (iraq) war about 85% of the country supported the war, and now it is only 35%. I'm actually pretty surprised the number is that high. Usually the people who support the war are the ones who support the president. I don't understand how some people still do support him..i'm still trying to figure out what he has actually done that has helped our country. Millions of people around the entire world hate him..that should tell you something.

The other thing that gets me angry is the media. I'm mainly talking about CNN or MSNBC. It seems the only thing they will ever report about(on the international level) is the iraq war. Now I know how imporant it is, and it should be reported. But there are a ton of other things going on in the world too. Like the duafar conflict, i guarentee most people here don't know that is even exsists or what exactly is happening. And then with the whole anna nicole smith case, that was the lead story for at least a week. One woman died(even if she was famous), compared to tens of people dieing in other parts of the world.

Sorry if this came across whiny, I don't mean to sound like i'm whining.

Separated, yet connected.

Something has always confused me.

Here in the US we're supposed to have the "seperation of church and state" yet Bush usually goes by his "christian values"...if you can believe that.

Anyway, if we're supposed to have this 'freedom of religion' then why are things like gay marriage illegal?(in some parts) Most people argue it goes against the bible..but yet arn't we supposed to have free religion?

And just the fact that he goes by his religion botheres me too. If we have the separation of church and state then no leader should do things by his religious beliefs.

I realize that christians are the big majority here, and i'm probably only writing this because i don't have any religion..but it still bothers/confuses me.
