Dis entry iza rant becuz i feel lyke itz.

When I was 12 I used to type using u-r-2-kool ect, ect-In my defense, I did pick it up from other people! I probably stopped around 14(I actually don't know why). But now whenever I see somebody on the internet write like that(I seen somebody write "becuz" today which made me very angry, thats how I got it for my title) I hate it.

I'm not a grammar instuctor about this stuff..I forgot to capitalize a few I's(which I was very sure I didn't forget any in this entry), and sometimes forget periods, commas, ect..or make spelling mistakes, but at least people can understand the words I am typing!

Nobody should type like that. Reversing spelling skills, ugh.

-when I seen the person who wrote 'becuz' on yahoo answers..he was talking about wal-mart...ironic(I know, that was a bit judgmental).

Haha I totally agree! I think it looks uneducated and crass! (I do think it's okay for cellphone text though). Apparently some students in NZ write like that in their exams now (they are either lazy, or don't know how to spell anymore!), and the stupid education system is wondering whether they should mark the student's work as correct if they can 'get the gist' of their answers! What is happening to our standards?!!

-I agree, cellphones are completely different..its difficult and time consuming to type out everything-unless maybe those phones that have an entire mini-keyboard on them.

haha same thing here, thats just like saying to completely ignore horrible spelling errors.

Aw bless.

I think it's handy to be able to shorten words and phrases, such as lol, for times when you have just one text message left, but I agree, for the majority of the time, its alot easier to do, and understand, proper english.

I also think text-speak in exams is rather stupid. Shows how technology has taken over the world.

haha I think its good to use when texting on your phone(except maybe for the phones with the mini-keyboard), because its hard and time consuming to text out all the letters.

Nobody should ever use it on exams! haha if everyone used that then it would look like we're all stupid.

I think that an overhaul of english spelling is long overdue. Kids are doing on their own what educators should have done for them long ago, i.e. simplify spelling.

Explain to me why becuz is stupid but rough, dough, through, cough, and bough make perfect sense.
