Primary

by Inthefastlane45 @ 22/04/2008 - 23.55:32

I forgot to mention(how could I forget? ads have been everywhere)that the pennsylvania primary, which seemed like it was the actual election, was today and it seems Hilary has won...no big surprise.

I guess it will be good for democrats if hilary actually wins since she is more conservative. This country is way too conservative in my opinion..but that is a different story.

I did see an obama supporter today. On the corner of a large suburban intersection an older man was sitting on a lawn chair with two small american flags and a large sign reading "Obama for president"

That reminds me of one question asked at a previous debate, the person questioned why obama didn't wear an american flag. I thought it was a ridiculous and irrelevant question and turned the debate off after that. So now you have to wear a flag all the time to show you like your country?

Bad day gone Good

by Inthefastlane45 @ 22/04/2008 - 23.39:56

Today started off pretty bad. I got up aroung 9:30 for an on-line class, and soon as I got up I got a bowl of ceral. I guess my body is not used to eating that early since I rarely do(that is the only explanation I can think of) but about an hour late at around 10:30 I felt very sick. It was odd because I hardly ever get sick and it happened all of a sudden--within a minute I felt very sick.

After the class I tried to get some sleep and to settle my stomach by couldn't fall asleep. So I ate some saltine crackers(which always seems to work on calming stomachaches)and that helped a bit before I went to class at the college at 1:30.

The drive there wasn't the best..driving isn't exactly the best thing for when you're sick.

But from I got to the college everything picked up. I felt better, and got two test back(one in algebra, one in economics) and got far better scores on both than I thought. And now I am at a point where I have a possiblity of getting an A in economics, which I had already determined I was destined to get a B(shows me not to be pessimistic).

The only problem now is that my back is hurting from sitting all day, can't wait until this semester is over--two weeks!

Dream

by Inthefastlane45 @ 21/04/2008 - 13.00:31

I have a pretty weird dream a few days ago that I still remember. I usually remember all my dreams for a while and then forget, but I force myself to remember the unique ones. I haven't had any strange dreams for a while, ever since I had a string of dreams where I died.

Anyway, in this dream I had cancer, not sure what kind. I think there was other people in this dream and a bunch of things happened but I didn't do a good job at remembering it all. But I do remember time going by and me getting more and more sick. I kept getting weaker to the point where I could hardly walk. I remember laying down either on a couch or ont he floor, and then I woke up.

Mini-road-trip pictures

by Inthefastlane45 @ 17/04/2008 - 00.08:47

Well I got a letter in the mail that I will have to go to the university campus in johnstown for placement tests in about a month. I never actually been to this specific campus since it was my second choice so I decided to go today. More traffic than I expected, especially since johnstown metro area is about a tenth of the size of pittsburgh's metro area. Anyway here are the pictures..all taken safely(both hands were still on the wheel):

All in all it was an hour and ten minutes to get there. I don't like the drive so much as it is kind of boring. All mountains and trees.

lol and a bit of irony/stupdity..right after I got off the last exit on the highway I got got into the wrong turning lane and missed the university alltogether. It is alright though becuase it was a small mistake that I won't make again and the point is I know how to get there now.

Tomorrow is another day

by Inthefastlane45 @ 15/04/2008 - 09.42:41

I had a decent headache almost all day yesterday. It is odd since I rarely get headaches..maybe once every other month or so. I wish I knew what caused it though because I couldn't think of anything. Anytime I tried to concenrate on something it felt like my brain was just a large brick and wouldn't move.

Anyway I went to bed early and got atleast a good eight hours and feel very good now.

For the last quarter in my English 12 class we're reading '1984' by George Orwell. I am interested to read it since I researched and found it was banned in some places.

Forwarded E-mails, music in restaurants, and election madness

by Inthefastlane45 @ 14/04/2008 - 00.50:19

I completely hate these. These useless e-mails about attaching a picture of roses to show that you care, or some corny joke get on my last nerve.

Today I went to eat dinner at some restaurant with my parents for my mothers birthday(which is acually later this week), and noticed the music playing.

First off, it is rare to actually have music in a resaurant(or else I never notice it) and even more rare for it to be current music. I was surprised to hear 'Get Together' by madonna and 'No One' by Alicia Keys.

I am getting to a point of insanity with all of the election "news" in the media. I am glad my state is actually important in the election..but everywhere you go you have to hear about it. One hilary add fallowed by an obama add right after on the radio, signs everywhere, and then that is all that is on the local news. Not the mention the forum they had on 'faith' today...which is pointless, in my opinion at least.

Fixed Camera, Harry Potter, and Sunday

by Inthefastlane45 @ 06/04/2008 - 14.16:31

I finally got my camera fixed. It was not actually broken, but something was wrong with the computer connection so no pictures would transfer/upload. So I just re-installed the software and it is all fixed now. I just need something to take pictures of...

I kept forgetting(excuse) to say that I actually finished reading through the harry potter books, even the last one. I did this a few months ago actually. I really liked the last book, amazing how it all comes together and actually ends. Things from the first book that may not even of been mentioned that much are connected to the last book. I think it was the best of the seven.

I really dislike sundays, they seem to go so slow and pointless. I never feel like doing anything productive(excuse again), everything is closed or closes very early, and all day you dred that tomarrow is Monday.

Wind, Economics, Ich + Ich

by Inthefastlane45 @ 02/04/2008 - 01.10:56

The wind was horrible today. I know I constantly complain about the weather..and I hate to complain about it since there is nothing that I can do..but the wind sucked, plain and simple.

A pretty decent rain storm blew in and while in the middle of pouring down the sun came out. Not just a little, but full-blown sunlight. I looked for a rainbow but couldn't find one anywhere...it seemed like the perfect condition for one.

I got 88%(44/60) on my economics test. Very typical, one question from getting an A(the best letter-grade). But on the 10-question quix we took today, I got 10/10..my first time getting a perfect so far on the small quizes.

I am done putting it off, and will finally get my hair cut on thursday. I hate getting it cut because you never know if you'll get a person who knows what they're doing. But I have to take the risk because I cannot stand long hair. I still don't have the guts to actually get it all cut off to just half an inch or so left. I will someday though.(!)

German music today...the song is kind of slow and not my favorite, but I figured I'd post it anyway. It is "Stark"(I think that means 'strong') by "Ich + Ich"

(not the actual music video)
