Bad day gone Good

by Inthefastlane45 @ 22/04/2008 - 23.39:56

Today started off pretty bad. I got up aroung 9:30 for an on-line class, and soon as I got up I got a bowl of ceral. I guess my body is not used to eating that early since I rarely do(that is the only explanation I can think of) but about an hour late at around 10:30 I felt very sick. It was odd because I hardly ever get sick and it happened all of a sudden--within a minute I felt very sick.

After the class I tried to get some sleep and to settle my stomach by couldn't fall asleep. So I ate some saltine crackers(which always seems to work on calming stomachaches)and that helped a bit before I went to class at the college at 1:30.

The drive there wasn't the best..driving isn't exactly the best thing for when you're sick.

But from I got to the college everything picked up. I felt better, and got two test back(one in algebra, one in economics) and got far better scores on both than I thought. And now I am at a point where I have a possiblity of getting an A in economics, which I had already determined I was destined to get a B(shows me not to be pessimistic).

The only problem now is that my back is hurting from sitting all day, can't wait until this semester is over--two weeks!

hi!
This entry made me laugh, haha, although it sucks that you were feeling ill, and especially from such a fun thing as cereal...but I am very happy for you on your econ and algebra. Next semester I"ll have to take Econ 1, Accounting 1, and Part 2 of business calc....
I think, unfortunately, this semester I am a B student....that bums be out, because I've had 13 units in Fall (with hard classes like English 2, American Cultures(was hard even though it's just about the influence of Jazz on america), International Business, and Psychology, plus an elective) and in winter I had a really fast paced Communications/Media class and Computer Apps for Business and Social Scieneces, and yoga from this very strict guru...) and I got As...and now I have 3 classes, and I barely do any of the work until the night before, and I know that if i just applied myself a little better I'd be getting As.....
And just like you, I think it would be such a disappointment to get Bs now that I"ve held up As for so long....
hahaha, and especially in Hebrew, which is my 3rd year taking it, and ESPECIALLY in calculus, having such an excellent teacher and taking the bloody subject for the third time over...and my polit sci teacher is such a moron that it would really make me mad at myself if I didn't get an A...
my problem is procrastination, because I am a very serious victim of it....unbelievable....like writing 7 page midterms the night before they are due.....although, for polit sci, which was only 5 pages due, it took me 3 days to write it and I still pulled an allnighter during the weekend for it...and got an 88%.
So if you've got any anti-procrastination tips, please tell me...lol
About FL's humidity, it was definitely more than we have in L.A. Although it was quite cool the few last days we were there, and I ran out of t-shirts and had to wear long sleeves and it didn't bother me much. Plus, long sleeves are the best, and with the mosquito's suddenly biting me on the cold days (I would have expected them to be raging at me during the warmer ones) long sleeves were fine....
I actually had a very good trip...and I will blog about it, one day.....but since none of my teachers/or any college acquaintances know I went on vacation (my excuse was "family issues") and because my UK trip excuse will be the same "reason"...I can't blog about it yet...just because of paranoia....and then the silly thing I did with putting my full name on my own blog so that it can be found via any search engine...
anyway...this is such a long ramble, and I"m really sorry for taking your time....
good luck in your classes.

haha getting the A's are almost as bad as the B's because if you get another semester of A's then you will be nervous about getting a the first B and ruining the patteren the next semester, and it keeps going until a B comes up lol...a vicious cycle haha

procrastination gets to me too...I have my econ class once a week on Tuesdays..and I usually read the chapter(s)for the next weeks quiz or test, and I don't read on wednesday because that day I have no classes with college or high school so I do most of my work during that week and end up working on things until 6 in the evening, which is usually when I 'shut off' school mode. Then on thursday I drive down to algebra and get back around 4, which then I am tired from the long(ish) drive and don't feel like reading. Therefore it gets put off until friday..and the weekend. haha that was much larger of a paragraph then I wanted, but thats how it goes for me. I cannot wait until I finish up high school. In my mind it is kind of an annoyance..I am already accepted into college and taking some classes, it just seems like a waste of time. But only a month or so more left!

I hate bugs in the summer. Here we have knats, which are horrible..they are tiny and go in your eyes, nose, ears, or even mouth. Mosquitos are pretty rare though, luckily.

Glad you had a good trip and I look forward to reading the eventual blog lol I am paranoid about my blog too, I like to keep it separate from 'real life' so I can write whatever I want without having to hear about it later somewhere

lol don't apologize, I respond with my own long rambles with all of its spelling errors, haha I wish I was a good speller.

Thanks for the luck with the classes, and same to you.
